In 2006, World HIV/AIDS Solution Foundation began when Martial and Carlice Etame felt compelled to get involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS, having first hand watched the physical, mental and emotional effect the illness had on a very dear friend, in the prime of his life. We were profoundly affected by the isolation and guilt that our friend had to deal with on top of dealing with the disease itsself along with the side effects of his medication. We felt helpless because saying "I know how you feel" wasn't enough. We were pleased to know the "cocktail" of medicines was sustaining our friend's life, however it focused our attention on the lack of life saving drugs that millions of people worldwide don't have access to, AIDS medications that have been proven to show promise in many infected individuals in the US.  To our surprise and dismay, as we began to research the AIDS epidemic we found that an unprecedented number of individuals in the US are also dying unnecessarily because of the lack of medicine that could prolong their lives. Unfortunately, Martial and his wife Carlice have lost several friends and family members to AIDS and have friends living with HIV.  In the spirit of compassion and in memory of our friends and others, World HIV/AIDS Solution Foundation was birthed.   It is now our life passion to help bring change to the lives of individual and families affected by AIDS/HIV worldwide.
